“Those that can give up essential liberty to gain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” -Benjamin Franklin
It is December, 2020. I am sitting at home in my office instead of driving to a sales call. There is a facemask lying next to me. I just got a notification that a Christmas party has been cancelled because of the Governor's new executive order limiting the number of people who can gather together in the same space.
You can't shop in a store without wearing a face covering. You can't go to church, but you can go to the strip club. You can't board an airplane without a mask. You can't post anything on social media that challenges liberal media or you get censored and or banned. You can't go to a funeral. In some states, you can't dine indoors. You can go shop at Target and Wal-Mart, but you can't go to your child's ballet performance. Bars can't sell alcohol after 10pm. Kids go to school via online learning. You can't visit a loved one in the hospital.
We were told not to celebrate Thanksgiving. We're being told not to celebrate Christmas. There will be ZERO people in Times Square to watch the ball drop and bring in 2021... Police officers are now the bad guys and get in trouble or go to prison for enforcing the law. Some cities have dissolved their police departments. Cities have been burned the to ground. Businesses destroyed and looted. Americans are setting fire to our own flag and celebrating it. Half the country has spit in the face of God.
No, this is not George Orwell's 1984--but, we are pretty close. This is America right now. Liberal state and local government officials have become tyrants. Our Constitutional rights are being infringed under the guise of "safety" for others. Neighbors and families have turned on each other. We are on the brink of a second Civil War. It hurts to write this. I wish I was kidding, but THIS IS REALITY. But WHY???
We are in a battle of GOOD vs. EVIL and America is broken.
Welcome to Part I of a blog I'm writing in order to document the most insane story to ever unfold.
Where do I even begin?
Perhaps 2015 is the best place to begin... June, to be exact. A day that would change the temperature of this country, quite possibly, forever.
June 16, 2015 billionaire, Donald J. Trump infamously descended down his gold escalator inside Trump Tower and announced his run for President of the United States of America. This photo did not mean much to me in 2015. I really didn't know much about "the Donald" other than he was really rich, had a cool TV show and dated/married models.
Fast forward to today and this photo means a lot more to me. In fact, I get chills. Now I look at this photo and I see the look in his eyes. The look in a man's eyes that says he knows he's about to sail directly into the perfect storm. A man ready to take a baseball bat to the hornet's nest. A man who knows he's walking into the lion's den. A bear cave. A snake pit. A blazing inferno. Quite honestly, the gates of hell. You get the picture...
And not ONE of us knew this was the case. But he did. And he did it anyway.
Before we can get to 2015, let's revisit how we got to the point of a TV star billionaire running for President.
In 2008, America elected "Barack Hussein Obama" as the 44th President of the United States. I was in college at the University of Richmond as a junior. The Republican party was in absolute shambles. The Left hated the Right because of Bush's pointless war in the middle east, sparked by the terrorist attack on 9/11 and the "intelligence" that Iraq had WMD's, etc. etc. etc. Back then, I was an advocate for 43. I listened to my gay friends trash him about various issues, but stood by his side because I felt he was dealt an impossible hand. Honestly, I really just felt bad for the guy.
But now? I wouldn't piss on Bush if he was on fire. We will get to that, but back to Barry for now...
Being in college during the Obama campaign in 2008 was surreal. Looking back, that was the beginning of the temperature change in America. But it was subtle enough to go unnoticed for a very, very long time. McCain and Palin ran against Obama and Biden. It never really felt like we had a chance against Obama--even moderate Republicans were drawn in by his charm and charisma and his ability to deliver a powerful speech. SNL did a great job of portraying John McCain as a senile, bitter war vet "hero" and his VP running mate Sarah Palin as an Alaskan ding-dong, snowball throwing housewife who "could see Russia from her house," who snuck into office in a state that nobody gives a shit about. Admittedly, I didn't even vote in that election because I knew what was going to happen.
As a young 20-ish year old, I knew something was happening; but I wasn't quite sure until Obama was elected. I was sitting in the lounge of my basketball team's locker room. Half our team was white and half was black--from all over the country and globe. I remember seeing my black teammates celebrating and crying. I remember congratulating them and talking about how, yes, it was a pretty cool moment in US history that a black man was elected as President. Even though I was NOT a fan of his and that there was something about him that unsettled me to my core.
In the weeks after the election, I began to see black students trade in their Hope and Change Obama campaign shirts for new shirts that read, "My President Is Black." I remember seeing it for the first time and thinking to myself "wow, can you imagine if a white person wore a shirt that said 'My President Is White?'"
That was the moment I knew. This young, charismatic, black-Muslim from Hawaii was going to lead this country down a very dangerous road of division under the guise of unity.
Hope & Change, my ass.
(Wonder if he's an organ donor like McLovin)
Let's start with his first term:
It begins with a promise to close GITMO (hee hee), an ENORMOUS stimulus bill, sprinkle in a few legislative crumbs for the LGBTQs, mix in a Nobel Peace Prize for an empty promise to end the ongoing war, a dash of killing America's number 1 terrorist (and dumping his body at sea...??????) and the cherry on top, the start of the race war, with the death of Trayvon Martin.
So to recap term 1:
-HOPE!!! Financial crisis solution
-CHANGE!!!! Extends hand to LGBTQ community (I think we picked up the Q during his presidency) via legislature on hate crimes, marriage, military, etc.
-CHANGE!!! "Ends" war in Middle East and "kills" Bin Laden
-HOPE!!!!! Trayvon Martin death sparks riots/protests and Obama supports
I know this is getting long, but stick with me...
Some folks were very critical of his first term, but nonetheless backed him as the Democratic nominee again because of how popular he was. It was Obama-Biden against Romney-Ryan. Woop-de-doooo.
Term 2 begins with the defeat of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Knowing what I know now, typing those names makes me want to punch something. This election, although very vanilla, was a pivotal point in my political growth. I saw what was happening--slowly and slyly, Obama was implementing things that did not sit well with conservatives--evangelicals even more so. We had two options--vote him out or inch closer to something that just felt sinister and maniacal.
I cried angry tears the night Obama was re-elected. Sure, I had had a bit to drink (ok, lots of bourbon) that night to quell my nerves... but I called my grandmother who has always been able to spiritually make sense of things for me. She understood my anger and shared my fear for what could be coming. But she told to me remember who is ultimately in charge of the universe. And I knew she was exactly right.
"How bad could four more years really be?" We would soon find out...
His second term started out with the Sandy Hook school shooting. Gun Control was a big issue in the debates leading up to the election. The Left wants to take away the 2A and the the Right would die to defend it. We also had the Pulse gay night club shooting under his watch. Obamacare is passed. He "threatens" Syria not to cross the "red line." The Boston Marathon bombing happens, bringing terrorism to the forefront, yet again. Edward Snowden exposes the NSA for spying on US citizens. Climate change strategy. Debt soars. Black Lives Matter is born. Ebola and H1N1/Swine Flu scare. Republicans take control of Congress during midterms. Obama then uses executive powers to bypass Congress (and no one did anything about it). Bengazhi..........
To sum up term 2, we had multiple events that led Barack to announce that racism is alive and well and is the face of the Republican party, multiple mass shootings leading to tense discussions about gun control (thank GOD we had Congress by then), new overseas involvement and money in deals to address the "climate crisis" the world was suddenly in. And small tidbits coming out that the government, just maybe, was up to no good.... (enter the 3-letter agencies and Hillary's emails...)
PHEW!!!! That's a lot to unpack. Soon enough, it was time for another Presidential election. Republicans were lost and really had NO one who could go up against the great Hillary Clinton! I mean, c'mon, the Obama administration had NO scandals and brought dignity and grace back to the White House!
It looked like a smooth and easy road for Hillary to take over the White House and continue the path of destruction left by her predecessor.
Not so fast, Hill-Dawg and Hussein.
Let's revisit something that happened during Obama's first term. In April of 2010, Trump went on record questioning Obama's birthplace and started asking questions about his birth certificate and his overall background. Obama was a nobody who became state senator and rose to political fame FAST. And Donald Trump noticed. He continued to shed light on the issue in 2012 and 2013...

It is my firm belief that Trump's bid to run for President began in 2010. For 8 years, half the country sat back comfortably with stars and hearts in their eyes for Barack Obama. The other half watched in horror as, what appeared to be a "manchurian candidate," slowly picked apart the foundation of our country, piece by piece. Democrats, both voters and elected officials, grew over-confident as the hot coals of anger and disgust burned in the souls of Republican voters.
It became crystal clear that next in line to the throne was Secretary of State, Bumbling Benghazi "What difference does it make?" Bitch, Private Email Server Princess....EVIL herself, Hillary-fucking-Clinton. And they made sure we knew there was NOTHING Republicans could do to stop it. It was a pretty hopeless feeling.
....sorry, had to go vomit.
I remember watching Republican candidates line up to run... Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Christie, Huckabee, Carson, Paul, Walker, a few other Senators.....and then, Donald J. Trump announced he was throwing his hat in the ring as well.
I remember upon hearing that, I chuckled a bit. I thought "well, that's interesting and ought to bring some good TV coverage." I had grown up seeing Trump on various interviews, talk shows, late night TV, his OWN TV show...I even remembered he was in Home Alone 2. EVERYONE loved the guy. You name a celebrity and the man had been to fundraisers with them. He knew everyone. They loved him! I thought, "well this ought to be interesting to see how Hillary treats him since he used to donate to their foundation and was a democrat."

But hhhhhhhoooooolllllllyyyyyyy shit was I wrong. So very, very wrong. From the moment he announced he was running for President on the Republican ticket, everyone turned on him. In an instant. As fast as lightning strikes. It was very odd to me. Sure I had heard he was a playboy and this and that and the other; but it was always followed up with how genuine, caring, hard working and successful he was, despite his early struggles. But the media did a complete 180 on him as soon as they saw this...
The man has always been able to draw a crowd. I watched his speech as he announced why he was running. He talked about immigration, the economy and how he could turn this country around and make us GREAT again. I liked it. But I didn't think a political outsider by definition, would be enough to go against the great and powerful Clinton machine. The media laughed at his announcement, so I kind of wrote him off.
I'm sorry to drag this out, but I promise we will get there...
As the primaries neared, Trump hung tough. Tougher than what the media had been saying since that day at Trump Tower. The Republican debates were comical, honestly. It became very apparent that the majority of them were simply recycling the same conservative talking points of old and nobody really had a concrete plan of action. Except Donald Trump. He laid out EXACTLY what he would do to help reverse this dreadful course we were on as a country. And when he won the primary and accepted the nomination as the Republican Presidential Candidate, all hell literally broke loose.
Hillary Clinton VS. Donald Trump was on! And the beginning of the wildest ride I've ever experienced had just begun...
Election years are hard. Frustrating. Annoying. But they are certainly entertaining, and 2016 did NOT disappoint. Did I really think we had a chance to dethrone the Queen? Hell no. Power was oozing from the pores of every Democrat in our government. Hillary's smirk garnered more attention than her hair for once. She could hardly contain the smugness trapped in the corners of her pursed lips. She was up by double digits in the polls. Why in the world, would someone who used to openly praise Trump, have such a hatred towards him now? Simply because he was a serious political opponent? But WAS he a serious threat? According to the media and just about every celebrity in Hollywood (who also used to love him) he was just a big joke and Hillary would cruise to victory, break the glass ceiling and become America's first female President.
But there was something about DJT that unnerved the Left. Trump had a way of getting under Hillary's skin that was easier than Bill's ability to get interns under his desk. What did he know or have that scared them all so much? By this time it was clear that Trump had nobody in his corner. Even Republicans talked shit about him.
During the primaries, Republicans realized we finally had a candidate who refused to give an inch and who didn't owe the DC swamp a damn thing. In fact, that's how he won us over. He vowed to drain the swamp and return power to WE THE PEOPLE. He promised we could win. He went as far as saying that we would win so much we would get tired of winning! That's a lot of confidence for someone trailing by such a large margin in the polls...
But something was quietly brewing. In fact, something had been brewing since 2008. Trump-mania was alive and well. None of us realized the power we had until Donald Trump came along. Battered and defeated for almost a decade, he gave us courage. He gave us a vision of American greatness again. He gave US confidence that OUR voices could make a difference and that WE could have a President who worked FOR US. He wasn't afraid of the Left and he let us know that we shouldn't be either. Hello, Silent Majority. Hello, American Patriots. Hello, MAGA!!!
In the final two months leading up to Election Day, things became intense. The gloves were off. The Left played their card early with a recording of Trump talking about "grabbing women by the pussy." It was supposed to bury him and take away the female and evangelical vote. He addressed it head on and honestly, his base looked past it because, hello...we are all human nd have said things we probably shouldn't have. And if you have ever listened to a rap or hip-hop song and have a problem with it....just shut the fuck up please. Trump on a recording saying "pussy" was seen as outrageous by the Left in 2016 ...yet, here we are in 2020 where the number one song in the world is "WAP" (Wet Ass Pussy) by the Left's loveable, liberal puppet, Cardi B...
Just had to bleach my eyes... ok, back on track.
So we here we are weeks away from Election Day and the media continues to hound Trump about the video. Cool. That's all they had. Oh, wait! TAX RETURNS!!!!! How could I forget the tax returns? So we have uproar over pussy grabbing, locker room talk, Trump's (private citizen) tax returns and the fact that he's been permanently labeled as a racist, homophobic, xenophobic, lying bigot. I think that pretty much covers it. Pretty insane, considering the fact that he was the first Presidential candidate to run for office openly supporting gay marriage. And that he was asking for LEGAL immigration. You bastard!!!!!
The media is MAJORLY over-inflating all of the negative things that have come out. And IGNORING anything positive (such as above) and actually lying--bold faced lying--to the American people and to the world. But, alas, it was time for the debates.
I honestly had ZERO idea what to expect. It was abundantly clear the two candidates had a hatred for each other that stemmed deeper than any of us knew. Hillary had spent her campaign lying about Trump's plans and policies and history. So, I can understand his distaste. Trump spent his campaign shining a light on all of "Crooked Hillary's" past...shall we call them...transgressions. It was no secret to anyone that Hillary's past business dealings (like, since the dawn of time) were murkier than sewage water in a Haitian drain pipe. And it seemed like Trump knew something we all suspected, but didn't know for sure or have a lot of details on. Except those pesky emails that just wouldn't go away...
The debates did NOT disappoint. The final debate was one of the most entertaining things I've ever had the pleasure of watching. Trump had nothing to lose and everything to gain--and he did just that. It was clear that Hillary was rattled. She attempted a few jabs, but Trump was ready with an uppercut. The best moment of the race came as the final debate neared the end. Hillary was speaking and said "you know it's awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.." and Trump cut her off with the mother of all zingers and said, "because you'd be in jail."
I must've watched that clip a million times. The brass balls of Trump had just tea-bagged Hillary in the face on national television. And it was awesome! Trump was a shark that night. And Hillary was the chum in the water. After the final debate was over, I knew something was happening. The tides were ever so slowly changing. Trump's campaign rallies grew bigger and bigger. But would it be enough to take down Hillary?
Hello, James Comey. FBI director. Who had already "looked into" Hillary's private email server over the summer. But just 11 days before the election, Comey sends a letter that states:
"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation. I am writing to inform you that the investigative team briefed me on this yesterday, and I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."
Back up for a second. Earlier, WikiLeaks (GOD BLESS JULIAN ASSANGE) hacked into John Podesta (Hillary's campaign manager and democratic demgorgon) email server and released over 30,000 emails that had some very weird shit in them. But, Comey and the FBI had deemed that there was nothing to see and Hillary didn't break the law. By using a private email server. To communicate on subjects ranging from weird pizza parties to matters of national security. Nothing to see here...

Now in question, were emails "discovered" pertaining to an "unrelated case" that deserved a look. That unrelated case involved Anthony Weiner (what an appropriate last name for such a vile piece of shit) and him being in a shitstorm of trouble for sending nudes and sexually explicit texts to a minor... His wife, Huma Abedin, was Hillary's right hand woman. Always at Hillary's side, yet somehow kept a relatively low profile. Well, apparently emails found on Weiner's laptop between Hillary and Huma warranted another look.
The Clinton campaign was FURIOUS and so were her supporters. 11 days before Election Day!!! How could Comey do that?! Well, per usual, nothing came of it. Once again, Crooked Hillary had nothing to worry about. Or so it seemed.
Election Day was upon us. Sarah and I got up super early and headed to the polls to cast our votes for Donald J. Trump. It was the first time in my voting life that I really felt that every. vote. mattered. That was a LONG day. A nice fall day with skies that were somewhere between overcast, but with a sunny glow through tiny peaks in the clouds. I don't know how many times I stopped to pray that day, but it was a LOT. Every time I turned my face up to the heavens in prayer, I felt a calmness flood my body.
We got home after work, made dinner and headed down to the basement to watch as results came in. It began as anticipated. Hillary took one state, then another, and another... then Trump won the typically red states. But things started looking awfully close in swing states. That wasn't supposed to happen. Hillary was supposed to run away with it..
The hours ticked away and it was around 10:00. Florida was extremely close. I took the dogs outside--it was cold, the sky was clear and it was silent. The type of silence that overwhelms your senses. The peace and calm that encapsulates you when a heavy snow is falling. I put my face up to the sky again and said another prayer for Trump. And with my eyes closed, a small breeze blew across my face and out of nowhere, I heard the roar of a train whistle in the distance. We heard them frequently, but this was different. It was so calm out that the sound of the train whistle traveled through the leafless trees and hit my soul like a ton of bricks.
I knew right then. I brought the dogs inside and with a wondrous smile on my face, I looked over at Sarah, took a sip of my bourbon and said "Trump is going to win." Not 5 minutes later, Florida was called for Trump. And the whole mood changed.
That definitely wasn't supposed to happen. We flipped to CNN, who had been the absolute WORST during the campaign. The looks on their faces said it all... I think they knew at that point what was about to happen. Despite their best efforts to play around with the electoral college map and how Hillary would still win. Then it got worse. Trump took Ohio. No Presidential candidate had ever lost when they won Florida and Ohio. PA was their last hope and it was close.
They cut to the party of folks awaiting Hillary's victory speech--instead of pandemonium, there was silence and nervous faces, buried in their phones. The news anchors on CNN, NBC, MSNBC looked stunned. Then PA went to Trump and it was over. HOLY SHIT, we did it!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I was having too much fun reliving that night. :)
We stayed up until almost 4am to watch PRESIDENT-ELECT DONALD J. TRUMP take the stage and make his victory speech. He was joined onstage by his family and Mike Pence's family. Hillary had not come out of hiding to concede, but it was done. Trump was exuberant, but respectful. He made a promise to every America that night--that he would deliver on everything he promised during the campaign and that he would NEVER stop working for US.
It was THE best night EVER.
The next morning we went to work. My fellow Trump supporters had an extra pep in their step and we all quietly celebrated and shared our disbelief but eternal thanks to our Lord for saving our country. I don't think I saw any of my liberal coworkers that day.
At some point during the late hours of the night, Hillary finally called Trump and conceded. John Podesta made the announcement at her "party" that night that she wouldn't be giving a speech, but would deliver remarks the following day. The second best moment of the election was watching her force the words "I LOST" out of her mouth. I'll never forget the look on Tim Kaine, Bill and Hillary's faces. A look of "oh shit, we are in big trouble" was all I could think when I looked at them. Not somber. Not angry (at least outwardly). But, very afraid. And why did it take her SO long to come out of hiding that night?
ALLEGEDLY--before the election, as the race tightened, an email was sent from Hillary to Donna Brazile. DB was the Chair of the DNC and one of CNN's biggest interview contributors until the WikiLeaks emails showed that she leaked debate questions to Hillary in an attempt to "outshine" Trump at the upcoming debate. What a stand up, trustworthy, unbiased (LOLZ) news contributor!
The alleged email read "if that fucking bastard wins, we are all going to hang by nooses! You better fix this shit!" Knowing what I know now, it really doesn't seem that far-fetched that Hillary would've sent this. Of course EVERY liberal-controlled media outlet has deemed this story as complete and total bullshit. But current times have taught us that EVERYTHING that gets "fact-checked" is almost guaranteed to be the truth. More on CENSORSHIP later..
The story the media fed us is that on election night, Hillary was so distraught over letting Obama down (insert fart noise--they hated each other) that she couldn't bring herself to pick up the phone and concede. But apparently Obama took a break from watching Dr. Strange, called her and told her she needed to concede. Other sources say she was hammered drunk, verbally assaulting staffers and throwing objects in the room. So, perhaps under the influence of copious amounts of alcohol , she called and said/slurred "Congratulations, Donald."
Yeah, ok. Sure. Big bad Obama and shoe-in Hillary just said "ahh fuck it, he won...just call and concede." We know Obama's ego is way too big for that... And we also NOW know, there was too much at stake to just throw in the towel. So what if something else happened? What if the Democrats had an EMERGENCY meeting to discuss what to do? I mean she was guaranteed to win. Go all-in. Take it to the bank, as Pelosi would say. But she lost. So maybe she actually was told to concede. But only to give the appearance of letting this go. All while they devised a plan to take down Donald Trump. After all...
THEY NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD LOSE.
What did they really have planned for America? It was all but obvious where Obama was leading us--down a path to a socialist society full of rainbows and butterflies where everyone (except white males) is equal and we all live off the government! Hillary was just an extension of Obama. Another 4 years of Obama. She would be the face of the Presidency, but Obama and all his cronies, both foreign and domestic, would continue running the show.
So. It is my belief that the night she lost, a secret meeting is EXACTLY what happened. Sorry, but you can't tell me Obama was just sitting at the White House watching movies on election night while the unthinkable happened. Sure. And pigs can fly.
On that night, the BIGGEST political scandal of ALL TIME was hatched. A scandal that would make Watergate look like crumbs. A scandal that would fiercely divide the country, perhaps permanently.
The death of democracy in America as we know it.
Check back soon for Part II.
